The Chinese giant Xiaomi is celebrating its 10th-anniversary in 2020 and on Aug 11 and it hosting a launch event. Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra is the title of the international edition of the next Xiaomi Mi 10 Extreme Commemorative Edition, which debuts on August 11th.
According to the leaked specifications, Xiaomi will provide the device with a Snapdragon 865+ processor, up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage options. The Mi 10 Ultra seems to have a quad camera on the back and 120x zoom power and could be the first device to have a selfie camera under the display. Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi 10 Ultra in two colors.
June has gone on to confirm that the global name for the upcoming MI10 series phone will be ME10 Ultra. He says the China variable will be called the MI10 Supreme Memorial Edition to commemorate Xiaomi’s 10 years of business. He shared a picture of a Chinese retail box for the device, with Xiaomi’s 10th birthday logo at the top.
A separate leak, then on Weibo, indicates that the Mi10 will come in the form of an ultra-ceramic and transparent back panel. Tipster Bhuvnesh Bagri leaked the official case for Mi 10 Ultra. It reveals that the device has an elongated capsule-shaped rear camera module located in the upper left part of the back panel. On the front of the flip cover is a small notification panel that shows the date and time.
In addition, Thipstar leaked the Mi 10 Ultra poster online, showing the device in a transparent finish. The device will probably also be found in a white finish like the ceramic model.
The rear camera settings are also shown on these posters, with the quad cameras positioned one above the other. At the top is the main periscope sensor which is stated to provide 120x zoom. Previous leaks hint that the device is powered by the Snapdragon 865 SoC and has a high refresh rate. All details about the smartphone should be unveiled at the launch event following week.
