The Sony WF-XB700 is a pair of truly wireless earphones in Sony’s Extra Bass range. Priced at $130 (approximately Rs. 9,900 in India ), the new earphones will mark up against options such as the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Wireless earphones. But, the Extra Bass branding means that the earphones will likely be attuned for punchier bass and deeper lows. Sony assures to support 9 hours of battery life, 9 hours more from the case, IPX4 waterproof, Bluetooth 5.0 and SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs per earphone charge. However, active noise cancellation (ANC) is lost. Better Bluetooth codec support with these features reserved for high-end options such as the Sony WF-1000XM3.
The WH-CH710N headphones come with ANC, 35-hours battery life
Also released by Sony is the WH-CH710N wireless active noise cancelling headset. It costs $ 200 (approx.15,200 rupees in India) and is the successor to the WH-CH700N headphones launched last year. The headphones promise 35 hours of battery life on a single charge and support SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. An important feature here is active noise cancellation, and the WH-CH710N is one of Sony’s most affordable over-ear headphones with this feature.
