Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
Samsung’s next flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip, has already leaked a lot of information. The company hasn’t announced anything about Z Flip yet … so far, anyway. Tonight’s Academy Awards featured an advertisement for the device, which provided the first glimpse of non-leaked images and non-video calls.
The announcement below shows the folding screen of the Galaxy Z Flip and some of Samsung’s built-in apps that have been tuned to work better with ultra-high layouts. A small screen on the front also appears, providing information about the incoming call.
In the video, the Galaxy Z Flip is mostly sitting at the table and folded at a 90-degree angle, so users can easily chat via video and release their hands to see themselves.
We have already heard reports that this device is targeted at young women, but the ad seems to confirm this by presenting the phone in a manner similar to a particularly compact style powder case. A valve that would have influenced its design.
For a brief 30 seconds, the ad glimpses the Galaxy Z Flip’s small external touchscreen. It displays incoming calls that can be interacted with directly, next to the device’s dual camera. It is assumed that notifications are also displayed on this small screen.
TV spots did not reveal pricing and availability information, but Samsung’s Unpacked 2020 event ends with a proposal that everything will be revealed as expected.
As always, we’ll let you know when new Galaxy Z Flip developments occur.
