Reliance Jio Soon To Start JioMeet Video Calling App To compete Zoom And Google Meet

Reliance Jio posted a quarterly report on April 30th. In financial reports, the company will also start a new platform for video calling, know as JioMeet. This service was offered to some smartphone users, but it was not widely distributed.

The company announced a new national video platform on April 30th. New apps will be released when demand for a reliable video conferencing platform is high. The company also has an app called JioChat that allows video and voice chat, but you still have to declare whether you can use JioMeet and JioChat together.

The new JioMeet expands the list of Jio applications currently offered by the company. It can also be combined with other applications provided by the carrier. New services are available for multiple platforms and operating systems.

The app is available on both the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. This app is additionally available for Windows and Mac. The company also offers plugins for Outlook that can be downloaded from the Mac App Store and Microsoft’s Windows Marketplace.

The platform can also be accessed through browsers like Chrome and Mozilla Firefox. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on the JioMeet website claims that the app can call up to 100 participants in a group.

One of the main competitors in this segment, Zoom can call 100 participants for 40 minutes against the free version. The service competes with other key names such as Google’s Meet, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other video conferencing applications.
