Realme 9 has been found on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website, suggesting that smartphones in this country are about to be launched. Realme 9 is part of the Realme 9 series and is said to consist of Realme 9, Realme 9 Pro, Realme 9 Pro +, and Realme 9i.
The list doesn’t reveal the specifications of the smartphone, and Realme hasn’t officially revealed the details of the upcoming Realme 9. Meanwhile, Realme 9i was launched in Vietnam on January 10th, with smartphone makers in India after the smartphone teased the handset on Wednesday.
The upcoming Realme 9 was discovered by DealNTech on a BIS certified website with model number RMX3388. The model number RMX3491 for Realme 9i can also be found on the certification website.
According to the report, Realme 9 was also found on the EEC certified website. The list does not show details and specifications for future smartphones. Meanwhile, the recently launched Realme 9i in Vietnam has been teased by Realme India, suggesting that smartphones may be launched in this country in the near future.
The smartphone has a 6.6-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone is also equipped with a 50-megapixel triple camera setup and runs on a 5,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
In November, it was reported that the launch of the Realme 9 series could be postponed to February 2022 due to a global chip shortage. The company also plans to launch a new Realme 9 Pro + / Max variant of the Realme 9 series this year. Madhav Sheth, Vice President of Realme, had previously confirmed that due to a chip shortage, plans to launch the Realme 9 series in September last year need to be postponed until 2022.
