In September, the Indian Government had banned 116 other apps including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. However, PUBG Mobile can still be played by users who already had it installed.
On October 29, the team of the PUBG mobile has officially announced on the Facebook that they will terminate all service and access for users in India starting from the October 30, 2020. The rights of PUBG’s intellectual property have returned to its owner.
Now for the Indian market, the developers are PUBG Corporation has announced that it is preparing to launch a new game title as PUBG Mobile, India.
The announcement stated that the new game would maximise data security for its players and comply with local regulations. PUBG Corporation said that there will be regular audits and verification on the storage system which store personal information of Indian users to ensure that it keeps the data secure.
Also, PUBG Corporation and parent company Krafton are planning to invest $100 million (About Rs.746 crores) in India to gear up the e-sports, local video game, entertainment, and IT industries. However, the company has not shared a release date for PUBG Mobile India.
