DJI Mavic Air 2 spotted with 48MP camera and larger battery

DJI Mavic Air 2

DJI, a Chinese drone producer, officially unveiled the Mavic Air 2, a drone that is officially described the smartest, safest, and easiest flying drone. The Mavic Air 2 combines new hardware and intelligent software to bring a lot of aerial imaging power to a 570-gram drone.

Arguably, it’s a bit bigger and heavier than the original air, but it offers a lot more performance to achieve it. The key is a 48MP 1 / 2-inch QuadBayer image sensor that normally captures 12MP pixel binning photos but can capture the full 48MP resolution of the sensor in a special “high resolution” mode.

In addition, to the Mavic series, you can capture 4K / 60p video at the first 120Mbps, 1080p video at 120fps or 240fps, and 8K hyperlapse in time-lapse mode.

The Mavic Air 2 has also been redesigned including new motors, greater aerodynamics, and advanced battery technology to attempt a max flight time of 34 minutes. And thanks to OcuSync 2.0, you can control the drone from up to 10km distant.
