AMD has finally revealed its next generation Ryzen 5000 processors. the processors are based on Zen 3 architecture. The company has announced the four new processor, which comprises the Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5800X, Ryzen 9 5900X, and Ryzen 9 5950X.
According to AMD, the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X SKU offers up to 26% better gaming performance and comes with an integrated 8-core complex with direct access to a 32MB L3 cache. The Zen 3 core architecture also provides 19% better performance per cycle (IPC).
The price of this new Ryzen 5000 Series start from $299 and go to $799.
New AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor is the top end processor, which has a 6 cores and 32 threads CPU with 3.4GHz base clock and 4.9GHz boost clock and 72MB of total cache memory. AMD claims the best single-threaded performance of any desktop game processor, besides adding more cores to improve multi-core performance across mainstream desktop processor. It will price the price of the new AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor at $799, which is about to Rs.58,436 in India.
The next processor from the AMD is Ryzen 9 5900X, which has a 12 cores and 24 threads with base clock speed of the 3.7GHz and 4.8GHz boost clock, it has 70MB of cache memory. AMD insists this will be the best gaming CPU in the market. The 5900X also has a 64GB L3 cache that includes two chipsets and a 105W TDP. The Ryzen 9 5900X costs $ 549 (about 40,153 rupees).
The Ryzen 7 5800X is an 8-core 16-thread model with 36MB of cache memory, 3.8GHz and 4.7GHz base and boost speeds, respectively, for 36MB of cache memory.
The 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 5600X supports 3.7GHz and 4.6GHz base and boost speeds, respectively, and has 35MB of cache memory. These prices are $449 (about 32,839 rupees) and $299 (about 21,868 rupees).
The three Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 models have a 105W TDP and do not come with a stock cooler, but it rates Ryzen 5 5600X at 65W and comes with AMD’s Wraith Stealth cooler. AMD has bundled coolers with almost every high-end processor so far, but enthusiasts may prefer their own high-end heat sink or water-cooled thermal solution.
According to AMD, the Zen3 architecture features a new integrated 8-core CCX design, with direct L3 cache access to lower latency, improved branch prediction, a wider integer and floating point engine, and twice the L3 core cache. AMD claims 2.8 times better power performance than the Intel Core i9-10900K. Like its predecessor, AMD’s latest mainstream desktop processor does not have integrated graphics capability.
The new Ryzen 5000 series will be available for purchase starting November 5. Compatible with all motherboards running the B550 and X570 chipsets at launch. The B450 motherboard will receive a beta BIOS update in January 2021. This will allow users to use these new chipsets on some B450 motherboards.
